Winston-Salem, NC -- Police are looking for the person responsible for a shooting near the 1900 block of Maryland Avenue Saturday.

Officers responded to the scene at 8 p.m.

Investigators say the victim, Arthur McQueen, 27, had been shot in the back near the corner of Buick Street and Old Greensboro Road.

McQueen walked to Maryland Avenue to call a friend, according to the police report. That friend took McQueen to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where doctors treated him for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Field Services Bureau is looking into this case.
