Greensboro, NC -- They're determined, courageous, and they don't give up - cancer survivors.
It's a disease that touches everyone from individuals living with it, to family members and friends. But for those who survive it, it's a second chance at life and a chance to help others.
On Friday, a crowd gathered at Page High for, Relay For Life of Greensboro. This year it kicked-off with a special "Cancer Survivors Walk Lap of Hope." It was an emotional but proud moment for those who got to walk the track marking a new chapter in their own lives and the race to rally more support.
Families and friends joined in the walk to celebrate the lives of those who've faced cancer, to honor loved ones, and to help fight back.
The money raised from the race helps support the American Cancer Society.
