Danville Science Center has a summer packed with science fun. From special exhibits to our popular summer camp programs, everyone can tap into their inner scientist at the Center. In addition to our captivating hands-on and natural history galleries, special exhibits on display this summer include the following:
Go wild for music in our Wild Music exhibit. Discover the music all around us as you hunt for sounds of forest creatures and investigate the songs of whales. Pass through a city square and record a musical memory. In the Jamming Room, lay down a beat, add tracks with animal sounds and recordings of your own voices.
Launch yourself into the unseen universe with the Hubble Space Telescope: New Views of the Universe exhibit. Enjoy spectacular views of planets, galaxies, black holes, and other cosmic entities and explore the science of deep space. Then land back on Earth with a visit to the Butterfly Station and Garden. Spend the summer with the butterflies and the lovely flowers and don't forget to bring your camera or sketchbook to capture some nature memories.
Danville Science Center's summer hours are Monday through Sat 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday 1-5 p.m. Members free. Non-members: $7/adult, $6 adult student or senior, $5/youth under 18. For updates, visit our website or like us on Facebook.
