Burlington, NC -- Police arrested a man they say assaulted one man, then walked through a neighborhood waving a gun.
According to a police report, Yashine Abdul McClain assaulted Eddie Bigelow by hitting him in the head with a handgun. They said McClain's attempt to shoot Bigelow but the gun failed and Bigelow was able to run away and call police.
McClain then walked through the 700 Block of Clay Ct. threatening people with the handgun. During their investigation, police discovered that McClain had also broken into the house on Clay St for unknown reasons.
Police arrested McClain and charged him with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Breaking and Entering, and Going Armed to the Terror of the Public.
McClain was taken to Alamance County Jail and placed under a $100,000 bond.
Bigelow was treated at Alamance Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
