Summerfield, NC -- The Sheriff's Office and DEA have arrested a man and seized 105 marijuana plants from his home.

Steven Miller, and his wife, Jennifer (photo unavailable), were arrested for Felonious Manufacture of Marijuana and Maintaining a Dwelling to Manufacture Marijuana. Authorities said the 105 plants were in different stages of growth in the basement of a home on Spring Creek Rd.

"This is one of the largest indoor Marijuana grows that I can recall seeing in my 31+ years in law enforcement," said Sheriff Sam Page. "This is an upscale neighborhood, and not the kind of activity you might expect to see in this area, but that just goes to show you, it can happen anywhere."

The marijuana plants, equipment for growing them, four vehicles, a 21' Triton fishing boat, nine firearms, and $4,000 cash were also taken from Miller's home.

The estimated value of the marijuana plants is $157,500. The NC Dept. of Revenue also assessed a $124,862 Drug Tax on Miller.

Miller is currently held in the Rockingham County Jail under a $25,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 12.
