DURHAM, N.C. -- A Durham firefighter has been arrested and is facing dozens of charges in a series of alleged robberies.
Authorities say 35-year-old Damon Antonio Quick was arrested Wednesday on 43 charges including second-degree kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault by pointing a gun.
Durham police investigating the alleged robberies had unofficially labeled their suspect the "Green Goblin" for wearing a mask during the holdups.
Quick was being held Wednesday on $9 million bond. It wasn't immediately known if he had an attorney, and the case is still under investigation.
State records show Quick was charged with misdemeanor assault in 1993.
