Deputies Arrest Burglar After Juvenille Calls 911

Yadkin County, NC -- Sheriff's Deputies arrested a man on for breaking into a Jonesville home on Thursday afternoon.

Authorities said they received a 911 call at 1:40 pm from a juvenille who lives on Swan Creek Rd. The caller told the dispatcher that someone was trying to break into the home. This person was instructed by the dispatcher to hide in a closet until deputies arrived.

Deputies arrived three minutes later and said they found Matthew Keith Guenther, a 28 year-old from Wilkesboro, in the home with $3,800 worth of stolen jewlery in his pocket.

Guenther was arrested and charged with Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Larceny, Possession of Burglary Tools, Damage to Property, Simple Possession of Oxycodone and Hydrocodone, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He is being held at the Yadkin County Jail under a $75,000 secured bond.
