Winston-Salem, NC-- Police in Winston-Salem are investigating a shooting after finding the victim already at the hospital early Sunday.
Around 3:17am, Officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department were dispatched to a shooting that allegedly happened in the 1500 Block of North Liberty Street. Investigators later learned that the victim, Jamal Mayer was at Baptist Hospital suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
According to witnesses Mayer was taken to the hospital by friends. Officers were told Mayer's injuries are not life threatening.
Police are still investigating the shooting and are asking anyone with information about this crime is asked to call them at 773-7700 or CrimeStoppers at 727-2800.
