Greensboro, NC-- Police in Greensboro are investigating a shooting outside a business on Battleground Ave.
According to police, they received a call around 1:50pm about shots fired. The address given by police is listed as Herbie's Place.
Police say a man was shot in the restaurant's parking lot after another man who was with him went inside and started screaming, "he has a gun, he has a gun!" "I'm being robbed".
Officers were told that Jerry Joyce and Jeffery Anderson stopped at the business to stall the robber. The robber had allegedly ordered them into a gold Lexus 300 on Douglas St.
The victims told Police the man was taking them to their (the victim's) house for more money. One of the victims said he needed to stop at Herbie's to get the keys to his house and once inside he started yelling.
Anderson who remained outside in the parking lot with the suspect was shot and police said the suspect drove off.
**It is important to note Police said the shooting had nothing to do with the business.
The victim was taken to Cone Hospital for a non-life threatening injury.
