Martinsville, VA -- Martinsville Police and the the Henry County Sheriff's Office arrested a man for his involvement in an Aug. 19 fight.
Joey Wayne Alverson has been arrested and charged with two counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon, two counts of Felonious Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, and two counts of Communicating Threats.
Alverson was wanted in Rockingham County for a fight with two men in the parking lot of Roma's Pizza on Hwy. 87 near the North Carolina-Virginia border.
Officers say Alverson fired shots at the two men and then ran from the parking lot.
Alverson was arrested inside the Martinsville city limits. He will be held there pending extradition to Rockingham County.
