Climax, NC -- Deputies are looking for a man who broke into a home and stabbed another man Friday night.
Kenneth Douglas Davis, Jr., 38, faces charges of Felony Breaking and Entering, Attempted First-Degree Murder, and Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.
Randolph County deputies responded to 2587 Wayne White Rd. at 7:10 p.m. on an assault call. When they arrived, deputies found the victim, Elson Locklear, outside the mobile home with multiple stab wounds to his back and upper body.
EMS took Locklear to a hospital where he was treated for serious injuries.
Deputies say Locklear came home from work and was attacked by Davis, who had broken into the home. Locklear broke free and ran to a neighbor who called 911.
Davis ran from the scene, and police are still looking for him.
