Browns Summit, NC -- Sheriff BJ Barnes announced the department found skeletal remains near a property in Browns Summit Monday.

Deputies received what they called a "suspicious call" and responded to 5755 Turner Smith Road around 10:30 a.m.

When officers arrived, the found the skeleton on the property.

Investigators have not identified the person; they will first have to conduct forensics tests.

The Guilford County Sheriff's Office have not offered any further information at this time.
