Greensboro, NC -- Police are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store on Alamance Church Road.
Officers responded to the Alamance Church Food Mart at 6:35 a.m. in response to the robbery. Police say the suspect walked into the business and claimed to have a gun, even though he never showed it.
The man demanded money from the cash register, took it and drove away from the scene in a dark green SUV.
Witnesses say they saw the SUV traveling south on Alamance Church Road toward Martin Luther King Drive. There was also a female passenger in the vehicle.
