Repairing A Roof On A Home

Greensboro, NC  -  Fix It Friday and Housing Greensboro are teaming up  to save a local home in need of repair.

The roof is now being replaced, the old shingles were worn out and causing the wood under the shingles to rot  allowing water into the home.

The new shingles will have a 25 year life, and have a allergy insecticide in them, which will protect them in the future from turning colors.

A ridge vent will be put on top of the house, it allows air to flow thru the roof and gives the shingles a longer life. It will lower the temperature in the attic, helping to lower the energy cost in the summer months.
