Triad -- Pizzas can have all the food groups in one spot... but most wouldn't call it a health food. Especially if you have it delivered or carry it out, you can can add a lot of fat and calories. You don't even really know what goes into your pizza... unless you grow your own.
Why not start your own pizza garden?
- Go out into your yard and decide how much room you have.
- You're going to make a circle (the shape of a pizza) then section it off into 6 parts (pizza slices)
- Pick your favorite pizza toppings like tomatoes, peppers, onions, parsley, basil or cilantro. Plant whatever you like! Plant each in it's own section or slice.
- All summer long, you can harvest your pizza!
Instead of calling the pizza guy, this will get the kids outside, teach them about gardening and you'll have a healthier dinner as a bonus!
