Steve Zimmerman: May 2009 2 Those Who Care recipient
A Triad man is determined to keep teens from drinking and driving. WFMY News 2's "2 Those Who Care" recipient, Steve Zimmerman says his mission is to save lives.
He started a program called "VIP for a VIP." It stands for Vehicle Injury Prevention for a Very Important Person.
Steve creates a mock crash scene at high schools in the area to show what it looks like when a teen is severely injured in a car crash. While students from the schools watch, he impresses upon them the importance of staying away from alcohol and driving.
Steve says he will continue to work diligently to save the lives of every teen he can.
