High Point, NC-- High Point University (HPU) students have opened their hearts and wallets to children in the Triad.
Students were made aware of the Salvation Army and WFMY News 2's "Stuff the Stocking" campaign, and many signed on to help.
Tuesday, WFMY caught up with the Lacrosse team as they were stuffing stockings. Each team member sponsored a child, stuffing a total of 20 stockings.
When all is said and done, Pamela Haynes, a spokesperson for HPU said students and student groups will stuff more than a 100 stockings.
