Greensboro, NC -- For the 9th year in a row Greensboro poet Josephus III will host "Love Black" - an ode to how love has stood the test of time, specifically, in Black history.
The event will feature live music and spoken word and for the first time, Josephus III will use multimedia presentations to paint a vivid picture of the fight for equal rights.
Josephus III will perform some of his work on slavery, civil rights and racism then and now.
He will also focus on specific event like the first day in the desegregated south, as well as the deaths of Emmett Till and Trayvon Martin.
"The path has not been easy but with love we have overcome the hate," he said.
