High Point, NC -- A new magnet school will incorporate music, movement, new energy and engagement to make school even more enjoyable for local students.
The Advantage Model Middle School adorns bright walls and a new, lively touch to make the school a more inviting place for students and families.
Students will attend class an extra 45 minutes each day and 20 more days each year.
Once construction is complete, the school will move from Welborn Academy to the former site of Allen Jay Middle School.
Advantage Model will enroll 100 fifth graders in its first year and will eventually serve students from grades five through eight.
Parents and students were invited to the school tonight to learn all about the future of magnet school learning.
