Greensboro, NC-- Newtown is hundreds of miles away from Greensboro, but the victims of Sandy Hook and the people of Newtown are still on our hearts and minds.
After their Spring Honors Convocation on the campus of Bennett College, students and family members held a "Sandy Hook Elementary School Remembrance Ceremony."
The ceremony was held on the front steps of Annie Merner Pfeiffer Chapel on the school's campus. It was a tribute and balloon release for all 26 victims, mostly children who were killed.
The shooting was on December 14, 2012 which is exactly two months ago today.
The event was organized by the Alpha Delta Epsilon Cast of Alpha Psi Omega National Honor Society.
