Asheboro, NC -- You don't want to be left in the dark about your credit score.
The Asheboro Public Library will soon hold a free credit report information session. That's where you'll find out how to safely obtain your free credit report.
Computers will be available for you to access your credit information and review it. You can also pick up a Credit Report Request Form and have copies mailed to your home. You'll need the following information: your name, current address, previous addresses from past two years, Social Security number and monthly mortgage payment.
You can attend one of two sessions called, "Get Your Free Annual Credit Report Without Getting Scammed" at the Asheboro Public Library. The first session is at noon or at 5:00 p.m. on April 9 and the other is on Thursday, April 18.
Space is limited so you'll need to register by calling 318-6803.
The library is located at 201 Worth Street in Asheboro.
