Greensboro -- How has the new SciQuarium changed the Greensboro Science Center?
How about more visitors.
The science center's marketing manager, Stefany Reeve told WFMY News 2 the SciQuarium has exceeded expectations. The average daily visitor count this summer has been 2,300 people. That compared to the 800-900 the center's seen previously.
The Greensboro Science Center has had more than 63,000 visitors and Reeve said it hopes to reach 70,000 visitors by the end of July.
Reeve said weather has not been a factor in decreasing visitors. They've seen license plates from more than 15 states and see visitors from all over North Carolina.
According to Reeve, the biggest complaint so far has been the parking. Right now, the science center is working with the city of Greensboro to expand it's parking lot.
