1 lb. lean ground beef (at least 80% lean)
¼ cup finely chopped onion
¼ cup chopped parsley
¼ cup fat-free ranch dressing
¼ teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
4 sliced reduced-fat Cheddar or American cheese
4 whole-grain sandwich buns, split
Method
Pre-heat closed medium-size contact grill for 5 minutes. In a medium bowl, mix beef, onion, parsley, 3 tablespoons of dressing, and the pepper. Shape mixture into 4 patties, about ¾-inch thick.
Place patties on grill. Close grill. Grill 4-6 minutes or until meat thermometer inserted in center of patties reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit and patties are no longer pink in the center. Top each pattie with cheese slice. Let stand on grill 3 minutes or until cheese melts.
Spread remaining ranch dressing on cut sides of bun. Place cheese-topped patties and pickles in buns. Makes 4 burgers. Calories 280 / Fat 12g
