Fruit Filling Recipe

1 cups unsalted butter (room temperature)
4 cups powdered sugar

¼ teaspoon salt

1 cups unsalted butter (room temperature)

1 cups unsalted butter (room temperature)

1 cups unsalted butter (room temperature)
1 teaspoons vanilla extract

4 ounces fruit preserve

Instructions:

Beat butter on medium speed until light and fluffy

On low speed add powdered sugar one cup at a time until well blended

Add salt, vanilla and fruit preserves on low until mixed well

If too thick, add heavy cream or milk

If too thin, add more powdered sugar

How to make a butterfly shaped cake

Bake a round cake of desired size

Using a serrated knife, cut cake in half to make two half circles

Cut a diamond shape out of the middle of the cake and discard scraps

Turn each side of the cake so the round sides touch to form butterfly wings

Frost cake with desired frosting

Decorate cake with assorted candies
