Greensboro, NC-- Two unfinished products in the Triad are still in limbo as of Thursday and it's because of one construbtion company.
A bonding company for Farley Associates has brought in J.E. Dunn to assess McNair Elementary this week and next. The company will then give recommendations on how to fix it to the insurance company that's picking up the tab to finish it.
Farley Associates was the original construction company working on the building, but Guilford County Schools fired them from the project.
Last week, WFMY News 2 learned that Farley Associates was also working on Fire Station 19 in Winston-Salem. The city notified the company on Friday of the seven-day process to removed them from the project.
On Wednesday, GCS leaders talked with Farley's insurance company, The Hartford, about McNair Elementary school via conference call.
Winston-Salem leaders said they will talk with the insurance company next week to get a new contractor for the fire station. A spokesperson said they will not go through a bidding process; the potential contractors are already selected.
