Winston-Salem, NC -- Some Baptist ministers plan to boycott stores they say have taken Christ out of Christmas.
They'll ask their congregations to join them in their efforts to keep "Merry Christmas" from becoming "Happy Holidays".
The ministers gathered in Winston-Salem to spread the message. Reverend Ron Baity says he believes it's time to let their money speak about just how important Merry Christmas is to them. But he also says say their cause is not just about reclaiming Christ for Christmas.
"All of a sudden we're saying were here. And we're going to reclaim our nation for the cause of Christ."
The group of Baptist ministers will ask their congregations this Sunday to join them in their boycott. With their congregations on board, they say they will be 20,000 strong.
