Woman Finds Deer Head In Her Mailbox

Hoke County, NC -- Evelyn Matthews screamed when she opened her mailbox in southern Hoke County.

A tax bill? Worse, a deer's head, stuffed into her mailbox.

Other parts of the animal were found packed into a second mailbox.

Turns out a teen committed the prank.

The Hoke County Sheriff's Office left it up to the families to press charges against the teen for property damage.

But Matthews and the other victim say they won't do that because the teen has agreed to replace the mailboxes and write a letter of apology.
