Scattered showers will remain in the forecast through Monday evening, but taper off slightly after 9pm. The rain will become more likely through Tuesday morning as a frontal boundary swings through the area.
Temperatures Monday night will drop into the low 40s in most location around the Triad. There will be a slight temperatures rebound ahead of the cold front on Tuesday, but highs Tuesday afternoon will only be in the upper 40s.
The trailing line of precipitation could transition over to some snow flurries in the foothills, but remain as rain in the Triad. There will not be any snow accumulations in the foothills.
Once the cold front swings through the Triad colder air will settle into the area and drop low temperatures Tuesday night into the middle 20s.
The sunshine will finally return on Wednesday as temperatures struggle to climb into the middle 40s.
