Rock Hill, SC -- A man in jail on drug charges is more trouble after police said he used pages of a bible to roll a joint in his cell.
David Henson, 24, was pulled over Monday night in Rock Hill after a witness reported him driving erratically near Piedmont Medical Center. Officers said when they approached the car, they smelled alcohol on Henson's breath and found marijuana in the car.
The police report from the traffic stop also states that officers found various prescription drugs, drug paraphenalia and liquor bottles in the car.
Henson was arrested and taken to jail. The arresting officer said that when he talk to Henson a short time later, he smelled marijuana coming from the jail cell.
The officer said he found the remnants of smoked joint made out of pages from the bible sitting on the cell bed nearest to the toilet. Henson took the blame when officers asked who rolled the joint.
A small plastic bag of marijuana was found in Henson's right front pocket. He now faces additional charges.
