-- A thief was stuck at a ventilation opening on the fifth floor outside a residential building on Sunday in Anshan city, Liaoning Province in northwest China.

Early in the morning, a thief climbed up a residential building from its ventilation system. Unfortunately, he got stuck at the ventilation opening and hung outside the building with the risk of dropping down at any moment.

The local fire fighters came to his rescue. A thin fire fighter stuck himself between a concrete column and the ventilation opening, a rope tied around his waist. Then the fire fighter grasped the thief's clothes to help him climb up to where the ventilation opening meets the staircase. After the thief reached the staircase, other fire fighters inside the building pulled him into the building.

The rescue took about 30 minutes, and the thief was taken away by the police after being rescued. According to the local police, the man tried to steal things by climbing up the residential building, but got stuck before stealing. The thief is now under interrogation.
