Burke County, NC -- A teenager died Thursday during a football practice, according to the Burke County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators said the 16-year-old is home schooled in Caldwell County, but was practicing at Freedom Park in Morganton in Burke County. Specifically, the teen was from Collettsville, which is near Lenoir.
It happened around 6 p.m. Thursday, according to WBTV.
The teenagers name wasn't immediately released. More information is expected Friday.
