High Point, NC -- Officers responded to a report of a fight and shots being fired at Five Points Park in High Point, at 6pm Monday night.
Upon arrival, police found no immediate victims in the park on Gordon Street; anyone involved had dispersed.
Around 6:20pm, police recieved a call from High Point Regional Hospital regarding a shooting victim.
At the hospital, Almare Alston, 23, was located with a gunshot wound to the right side of his head. The injury was a grazing wound, and not life-threatening.
Alston advised he was shot during the reported incident at the park.
The incident is under investigation.
