Winston-Salem, NC-- In two weeks you will hear the jingle of the Salvation Army Bells, but work has begun to get the kettles ready.
Thursday, crews in Winston-Salem spent the day unboxing the kettles from storage. They then spent the day inspecting, cleaning and painting the kettles and signs.
This year, if you don't have any cash to donate when you see a volunteer bell ringer, no problem. The kettles will have QR (Quick Response) codes for you to scan with your smart phone, and donate on the organization's website.
The Salvation Army in Greensboro will dust off their kettles and spend the day getting them ready next Wednesday.
The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign kicks of across the Triad on Friday, November 18.
