Detroit, MI -- Here's proof Lauren Alaina was not lip-synching the national anthem before the Lions-Packers game yesterday: she botched it. Here's proof Scotty McCreery WAS lip-synching at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade: he botched it, too.
Alaina got to the line, "What so proudly we hailed, through the twi--" and then just stopped for several seconds.
She picked it up in the right place and didn't have any other glitches, but she had a sheepish smile at the end. Announcer Joe Buck said, "It's all about how you finish."
Alaina tweeted, "Thank you everyone for the kind words. But the truth is I messed up. I'm gonna spend the rest of the day being thankful for all my blessings."
As for McCreery, he performed his song "The Trouble With Girls" on a parade float. But fans could hear his voice before his lips started moving.
