Greensboro, NC -- With the holiday shopping days coming to an end, the thought of traditional gifts are taking on a news light as people are looking into giving the gift of cosmetic surgery. Carey Campbell Clinical Office Manager at the Coley Cosmetic and Hand Surgery Center in Greensboro said, "This time of year especially, patients want to look and feel better about themselves."

Campbell said people are coming in looking to have everything from botox injections to breast augmentations as they get ready for the holiday season. "Patients really enjoy the fact that they can come in in an afternoon, obviously be treated and go home with very little down time. If they have a holiday party or special event to attend, they can do it in the same day."

In the past, women were mainly the ones getting enhanced for the holidays. But in the past few years men are starting to go under the knife. Campbell said the procedures most popular with men at their practice are liposuction, "tummy tuck", and botox. "They've seen the arsenal of skin care for quite some time in their spouse's bathroom and they definitely want to know more about the products and know what they can do to protect their skin."

Gift certificates are also becoming more popular for people tired of giving the traditional presents. Campbell said "A lot of men are paying very close attention to themselves these days. They are as active in beauty and cosmetics and really want to be able and up to speed of all things women have been taking advantage of for many years and they really enjoy being pampered as well."
