Greensboro, NC -- Representative Bill Faison (D-Orange) announced his entry in the race for Governor of North Carolina on Saturday in Greensboro.

The democratic state representative of Orange County made his announcement at the downtown Marriott hotel, the site of Saturday night's Sanford Hunt Frye dinner for the NC democratic party.

Rep. Faison's bid came just two days after Governor Perdue announced she would not be running for re-election.
