Greensboro, NC -- Greensboro Police have identified the suspect who was shot during a robbery on High Point Rd., as 25-year-old Shawnda Johnny Shelton
Police believe Shelton tried to rob the store with a knife and was shot by the clerk.
Greensboro Police said the shooting at the EZ Way Grocery store at 2906 High Point Road is still under investigation.
Greensboro police officers were dispatched to the scene around 9:55 Tuesday night. Officers found one victim in the parking lot who had been shot.
Shelton is being treated at Cone Hospital, according to police his injury is not life-threatening.
