(Greensboro, NC) -- Shortly after midnight, Greensboro police responded to a robbery call on Spring Garden St.
Upon arrival, 24-year-old Christopher Parker told them that when he entered the elevator at his residence, two suspects brandished a handgun and assaulted him by punching him in the head. The suspects then escorted Parker off the elevator, rifled through his pockets in search of money or property, and ran away.
Mr. Parker suffered minor injuries and didn't require medical attention.
Suspect #1 was described as a black male, light skinned, approximately 5'7", 150 lbs, last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black toboggan. Suspect #2 was described as a black male, dark skinned, approximately 5'9", 160 lbs, last seen wearing gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black toboggan.
Officers canvassed the area for the suspects. Central Division Patrol, K-9, and CID responded to the scene.
At this time it is an ongoing investigation.
