ROSEVILLE, Calif. - Obiwan Kenobi was arrested during the weekend in connection to a hit-and-run crash that led to a four-car pileup in mid-March, according to KXTV.

The 37-year-old, who has the same name as the Jedi master from the Star Wars movies, was arrested at his Roseville home on April 21, Roseville Police Sgt. Jason Bosworth said.

The crash happened on March 19 on Fairway Drive, near Rosehall Drive, around 4 p.m. Three cars were stopped in the straight-ahead lane on westbound Fairway Drive, while a fourth car was waiting in the left-turn lane.

According to Bosworth, Kenobi pulled into the left-turn lane, tried to merge into the straight-ahead lane between two cars waiting in the lane, hit the cars he was trying to merge between and then fled the scene.

The hit-and-run then caused a chain-reaction that caused the other two waiting cars to be hit also.

Bosworth said two people suffered minor injuries.

Kenobi was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run causing injury and booked into Placer County Jail, Bosworth said. He was later released on bail.
