Winston-Salem, NC-- Police in Winston-Salem said they've arrested a known MS-13 gang member who stabbed two people during a fight at a bar.
Around 1:00am Saturday, Officers were dispatched to the Los Dos Gallos bar for a stabbing call. Customers inside told police a fight started inside the business between some patrons and possible gang members.
Employees told police they were able to get the suspects to leave, but they later returned. Witnesses said one man had a machete with him and he attacked two patrons, inflicting serious cuts.
Both victims were taken to Baptist Hospital for treatment.
Police said they found the machete still at the crime scene.
WSPD's Gang Unit was able to identify the suspect as Jose Efrain Arevalo. Officers said he is a validated gang member with MS-13. Police located Arevalo at his house and arrested him.
He has been charged with two counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.
The incident is still under investigation and the victims names are not being released at this time.
