Greensboro, NC-- Saturday, Officers with the Greensboro Police Department and the North Carolina Trademark Enforcement team conducted a raid on a flea market.

An officer with the Greensboro Police Department told WFMY News 2 the raid came after a month long joint investigation into counterfeit merchandise. 

The Flea is located on US Highway 29 North in Greensboro.

Items were confiscated from at least six vendors and about six arrests were made, according to police.

Investigators closed the entire flea market while they conducted the raid and remained on the scene for hours.

WFMY News 2 cameras caught officers filing a tractor-trailer with items from the bust. Investigators said some of the items taken were: pocketbooks, shoes, CD's and DVDs.

All those arrested face felony charges, police said. The investigation is still ongoing.

This is not the first time this flea market has been part of an investigation. Police said they raided the place in 2007 for the same type of crimes.

In that case, the counterfeit task force seized enough stuff to fill up a tractor trailer almost three-quarters of the way full. Investigators confiscated clothing, sneakers, and CD's. Police arrested at least 11 people and handed out 24 felony charges. Estimated value of merchandise seized: $266,000.
