Portland, OR-- They say love make you do some "crazy" things.
Well, we not all agree on whether or not someone is a bit strange because of what they do for a significant other, but....would you get inside a suitcase to visit them?
A Portland woman did just that and admitted to television crews, "she did it for love."
The woman hid inside a suitcase as her boyfriend smuggled her into and out of his apartment, that was on the third floor.
Television station WTVY spoke with eyewitnesses and the woman. One man, Kyle Iboshi said he saw it on a regular basis. A tenant with a pink suitcase. Iboshi said everyone made comments on why he would bring it in and out every time he left.
Neighbors had their suspicions, and this week, someone called police.
Sure enough, officers discovered a woman had been hiding in the suitcase.
Kola McGrath says she tucked inside this suitcase to secretly visit her boyfriend.
And when asked why she did it McGrath's answer: "Because I love him."
About a year ago, kola got into some trouble at her boyfriend's apartment building, and managers repeatedly warned her to stay away.
McGrath says her boyfriend couldn't come to her place, because she's living in a shelter, so the couple hatched a plan.
She'd hide in a large pink rolling suitcase.
McGrath on show she got inside: "Just the fetal position with no shoes, no coat."
Kola admits, it was dark and bumpy.
She was smuggled inside the building several times.
McGrath said everyone has it all wrong, she told the media, it's not what you'd think, though. You put your head under a pillow or a blanket, and it is just like that.
Police arrested kola for trespassing, because she'd been warned to stay away from the building.
Would she do it again? "I'll do it all over again -- or would, but they are already on to me now", McGrath said.
Kola's boyfriend was not charged. He declined to comment.
