GREENSBORO - Federal regulations on child safety seats are changing in 2014, but parents can change how they install their seats now.
On Wednesday, WFMY News 2 hosted a child safety seat inspection for anyone who wanted to stop by the station.
Police officers, highway patrol and Safe Guilford workers spent the entire day at News 2 to check safety seats and help drivers understand the restraint belt latch.
They also answered any and all questions that parents had about properly restraining children.
The event started at 6:30am and lasted until 6:30pm. At times there were cars lining out of the WFMY News 2 driveway.
If you were unable to make the free safety check event click on WFMY News 2 to see an exclusive video explainer.
