Caswell County, NC -- The Sheriff's Office was called on Tuesday for a structure fire on Jennings Blackwell Rd. in Pelham, NC.

According to authorities, when they arrived the home was completely engulfed by the flames. When the smoke cleared, they found Vestor Joe Moore inside. The EMS said Moore had multiple gunshot wounds. 

Moore was taken to Danville Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Deputies sought Cheryl Moore, the victim's girlfriend, and contacted the SBI.

On Wednesday, the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office in Virginia said they had found Cheryl Moore. They said she had shot herself and died from injuries. Her body is being sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Chapel Hill for an autopsy.
