Greensboro, NC-- Hoppers fans showed their spirit tonight when they attempted to break the Sunglasses at night record. The old record was 642 tonight the Hoppers fans shattered it to a count of 1,046.
To be counted,fans had to be seated in the Natty's Hill area of NewBridge Bank Park, also, fans had to don their sunglasses at the beginning of the 7 inning and had to wear them continuously for 10 minutes.
Sunglasses were provided by Pti and the Grasshoppers, or participants could wear their own glasses.
The World Record attempt happened during the Greensboro Grasshoppers versus Charleston RiverDogs game.
