2 Winston-Salem Men Charged In Murder After Argument Over "Best" Truck

CORNELIUS, N.C. -- A Cornelius man has died after he was hit by a truck following a chase involving another vehicle.

Officials say Kevin Andrew Sweet died early Saturday when he was hit by a truck driven by two Winston-Salem men.

The father of the driver says the death occurred after an argument over who had the best truck.

Twenty-three-year-old Jacob Andrew Kost has been charged with with felony hit and run, murder, driving with a revoked license and DWI. His passenger, 21 year-old Jason Edward Shaw, was arrested and is charged as an accessory to murder.

Richard Kost says he spoke with his son in a call from jail and says he was told that there had been an argument at a nightclub about who had the best truck.

Jacob Kost is also charged with driving while impaired, felony hit and run and driving with a revoked license. It was not clear if he has an attorney.
