Nashville, TN-- A sheriff's conference in Nashville, Tennessee was interrupted by an explosion at the host hotel Tuesday night.
According to CBS station WTVF, emergency crews were called to the scene of an explosion during a sheriff's convention at the Opryland Hotel.
The explosion was reported around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. The National Sheriff's Association annual conference was being held at the Opryland Hotel.
Sheriff Sam Page from Rockingham County, NC was at the hotel when the incident happened. Sheriff Page tells WFMY News 2 that he and everyone got out okay. About a dozen Sheriff's from North Carolina are at the conference, according to Sheriff Page.
Homeland Security was also called to the scene, WTVF reported.

Early reports indicated there was a mechanical explosion behind an elevator in the hotel.
No injuries were reported and the building was evacuated. Significant damage was reported in the hotel.
