Greensboro, NC -- People in a northwest Greensboro neighborhood are keeping an eye out after they say a suspicious man showed up in the area a couple of times in recent weeks.
One mom, who didn't want to share her name, said she was crossing the street with her toddler in her arms when the man began asking questions about the neighborhood.
"I was trying to be friendly and answering questions about anything in the neighborhood," she said. "And after a while, as he followed me with his vehicle as I was still talking, then I started to get a little bit panicky."
The questions started getting a little personal, she said, and she felt he was blocking her from getting into her own yard.
"So I kind of ended the conversation pretty quickly and walked off," she said. "And he drove off."
A neighbor saw the encounter, the woman said, and shared in her uneasiness.
"The person that saw it said she kind of saw the same thing," the woman said. So the pair started texting as many neighbors as they could so they'd know exactly what happened.
"I just thought it was a little bit odd," the woman said. But she didn't find it odd enough to call the police. Now that she's had a couple weeks to think about it, though, she said she'd make the call if he showed up in the neighborhood again.
"You don't want to be that person that takes things the wrong way," the mother said. "But at the same time, you just never know."
Police say anytime you feel uneasy or unsure about something you see, you should give them a call.
