Lexington, NC-- A teenager is in trouble with law enforcement for allegedly committing the same crime.

On Sunday around 2:00 am, Deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff's Office stopped a Jeep after seeing the vehicle crossed the center line.

Deputies said they saw 18 year-old Morgan Ashley Towe cross the center line on Highway 150 near Lenox Ct in the Reedy Creek area. Towe was also unable to maintain her lane of travel, according to deputies and they did a traffic stop to check on her.

When Towe gave officers her driver's license, a background check revealed it had already been suspended because of a previous Offense of Driving While Impaired.

Towe was arrested at the scene and charged with: Driving While Impaired, Having an Open Container, Possession of a Malt Beverage Under the Age 21, Driving Left of Center and Driving While License Revoked and Provisional Licensee.

Towe was released to the custody of her Step Mother.

The NC Dept of Corrections records check by WFMY News 2 on Towe's previous DWI states she was charged in January of 2011 and convicted in January of 2012. She was given Suspended sentence and 18 Supervised Probation. Click here to see that record.
