Wilmington, NC-- Police said a man who passed out while in line at Taco Bell on Sunday is now facing drug charges.
Police told the Wilmington Star News that they arrested Charles Henry Crawford III Sunday night after Officers found a mason jar containing what appears to be marijuana in his car.
Witnesses told police Crawford passed out behind the wheel at about 10:15 p.m. After passing out, Crawford's car took a hard right and ran onto a curb, narrowly missing a tree, said Police Department spokeswoman Lucy Crockett.
The officer who checked on Crawford's condition, reported seeing a jar of pot on the passenger's side floor. In addition to the drugs, police also found scales and other drug paraphernalia in the suspect's car.
Crawford is facing charges of: Marijuana Possession, Driving While Impaired and Careless and Reckless Driving. He was released from the New Hanover County jail after posting bond.
The incident is still under investigation.
